In a project inspiring collaboration, creativity, leadership and planning, West Islip students in the Oquenock Elementary School classrooms of Michelle Bonkov, Susan Cosentino and Frank Sblendorio collected water, juices and snacks for the Essential Pantry in West Islip, then created special “snack packs” to package the donations from the drive.
“Our students demonstrated generosity, compassion and kindness for their peers throughout this project-based learning experience” said Principal Jack Maniscalco.
